Brighter Minds Centre is an after-school and homework club in Harrow for children aged 8 and up. We started the centre to fill a gap: a place where working parents could trust that homework actually gets done, in an environment run by people who know each child by name.
We're a standalone centre — not a classroom bolted onto something else — with rooms sized for small-group and quiet, individual work, so sessions never feel rushed or overcrowded.

Meet the person behind Brighter Minds Centre
Habib Al-Mosewi
FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
Habib founded Brighter Minds Centre after 6 years' experience teaching, including a role as Head of Maths. He holds a degree in Mathematics and is a PGCE/QTS qualified teacher.
He started the centre to bring that classroom experience directly to the local community, giving children a dedicated space to build confidence and make real progress after school.
Outside the centre, Habib's a keen football fan — Chelsea, through thick and thin.

Common questions from parents
What ages do you accept?
Brighter Minds Centre is strictly for children aged 8 and above — we don't take younger children or siblings.
Can we try a session before signing up?
Yes — we offer a paid trial session so you and your child can experience a session before committing to a plan.
What's your cancellation policy?
We ask for one month's notice to cancel or change a plan, so we can manage places fairly for all families.
Do you provide snacks?
If your child is with us for more than 2 hours in a day, we provide a snack as part of the session.
What are your opening hours?
We're open Monday to Friday during term-time, from 3:30pm to 7:00pm, plus Sundays from 10am to 4pm.
What subjects and clubs do you offer?
Homework Club, Focused Learning & Enrichment, Evening Childcare, and Study Groups in Maths, English, Science and Arabic — led by outstanding qualified teachers.
Who teaches the small-group study subjects?
We have outstanding, experienced and qualified teachers with a proven track record, delivering our Maths, English, Science and Arabic study groups.
Do you support children with additional needs?
Yes — we're happy to discuss additional or SEN needs with you directly, and we work with families on a case-by-case basis to see how we can best support your child.
How will I know how my child is progressing?
We keep parents updated through a mix of progress reports and informal chats with our team, so you always have a sense of how your child is getting on.
How do I pay?
We accept both bank transfer and card payments — whichever's easiest for you.
Do you offer a discount for siblings?
Yes — families enrolling more than one child receive a sibling discount. Get in touch for details.
How do you ensure my child's safety?
All our staff are DBS-checked and first aid trained, alongside our secure, monitored premises.
Can someone other than a parent collect my child?
Yes — just let us know in advance who's authorised to collect your child, such as a grandparent or childminder.
Can I choose fewer days on the Full Package?
Yes — the Full Package is available for 2, 3, or 5 days a week, at £500, £650, and £950 a month respectively. All options include the same full range of access and support, just scaled to how many days suit your family.
How do I book a place?

How secure is the centre?
Entry is monitored and staff always know who's on-site, so you can be confident your child is in a safe, supervised space.
Safeguarding & Child Protection
Keeping every child safe is our first priority
Every child in our care deserves to feel safe. Here's a short summary of how we make that happen.
Checked staff. Everyone who works with your child is DBS-checked and first aid trained.
Secure premises. Entry is controlled by a keypad and maglock system, monitored at all times.
We listen. Any concern raised by a child, parent or staff member is taken seriously and acted on quickly.
We report. Where a child may be at risk, we follow official safeguarding guidance and involve the right people.
